On Monday 28 November 2011, the Inquiry heard evidence from Amanda Pollard, an inspector at the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This was followed by evidence from Kay Sheldon, a non-executive director of the CQC.

On Tuesday 29 November 2011, the Inquiry heard closing submissions from Monitor, the Care Quality Commission and the Department of Health. The Royal College of Physicians provided a written closing submission, without making an oral submission, and their written submission is also available above.
On Thursday 1 December 2011, the Inquiry heard the closing submission from Tom Kark QC, counsel to the Inquiry. This was followed by some closing remarks from the Chairman.
